Funbook of Recount (A Creative Process in Writing)
When students were instructed how to write, they often tried to keep the sentences‘ patterns. It is quite serious matter since most teachers segmented the students‘way when pouring the sentences onto pieces of paper. We are really interested in creating an enthusiasm for students to freely write through this funbook without missing the essence of learning. Learning Genres through writing is quite delicate in every stages. Among all genres, recount is chosen because it has indicators to create students more creative. The students would try to attach anecdotes, fantasy/imagination, and dialogues without neglecting its writing rules in English, such as enclosing the generic structure, past tense sentences, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs and so on. They would also learn past action verbs which are secluded in almost EFL practices. This book is also presented for students of higher education level who will be teachers later. It may be useful for them to use this book as a medium for the students to start imaginative writing. Starting from imagination, will emerge their creative thinking then. At least in writing. Who knows, by teaching this, the taught students are going to be poets, novelists, and writers in the incoming years. Keep writing!
